Break Of Slope Tree Planting
On July 31 this year (2015) the rubber began to hit the road with the Dunluce Project. Doran Earth Moving's D7 dozer arrived ready for the ripping of a large area of the uppermost site in preparation for 'break' of slope tree planting. The plan is to have native trees use the groundwater before it has the opportunity to flow further down the landscape causing dryland salinity.
A mixed species plantation comprising Sugar Gum (Eucalyptus cladocalyx) and Acacia has been planted across the upper slopes of the Dunluce Project area.
